There was a time for men of honor who lived according to code called Bushido. A time of inescapable principles, great meditation and beverages to elevate spirit and body. My “Bushido” is thought for us, contemporary samurai, that no less then the historical ones, need to rejuvenate our spirit. Two principles of Bushido reinterpreted in essence to flavor it more… only choose for what you’re
Pour 40 ml Bols Genever into an Easy Cream Whippers with the Sencha Green Tea cherry flowered and charge it with one Cream Chargers and let to infuse for 3 minutes. The Nitrous oxide contained in the cream charger will act by osmosis between tea and Genever, passing in short time all the tea flavors to the Genever. Meanwhile pour in a mixing glass the other ingredients. (Past the three minuts of infusion) Pour the Genever infused in the mixing glass filtering it with a fine mesh strainer to prevent that tea leaves fall in the cocktail.
Add ice in the mixing glass, stir well and strain the drink into a bowl made with a real Japanese coconut filled with rough ice (for this cocktail I prefer to crush ice with a mudler to obtain few big pieces -4 or 5- of ice, best in a presentation with this particular bowl and the use of rose petals) Serve the drink with two little saucers each one containing 5 rose petals. Spray well (I suggest 5 times/spray) rose petals on one saucer with the essence of cedar, than repeat the same procedure with the petals of the other saucer with cinnamon essence.
Each essence is chosen according to two of the 7 Bushido principles and the consumer can choose the saucer he prefer to flavor the cocktail. In the “cocktail kit” there’s an “ancient” Samurai parchment showing the two principles chosen for “BUSHIDO” cocktail - honor (cedar) and - heroic courage (cinnamon) code of Bushido -, and a pair of chopsticks to put the rose flavoured petals in the bowl. “ Choose for who you are..” * Natural spray can be made with essential oil of cedar and cinnamon diluted in these proportions: 20% essence – 80% ethyl pure alcohol 95° - used for cakes in bakery- ( es: 2 ml essential oil and 8 ml alcohol 95° ). You can easily buy it in herbalist’s shop.
